High-Pressure Water-Jet Deburring

The Jet Clean Centers (JCC) are highly efficient high-pressure cleaning systems by Zippel/Sugino.

The default machine series cleans and deburrs in one step using very high water pressure. The process is generally defined as high-pressure water-jet deburring. This washing and deburring solution offers unparalleled precision, effectiveness, and flexibility.

The method of targeted deburring and washing maximises effectiveness while keeping media consumption to a minimum. The simple tool equipment and programming of the JCCs turns them into highly flexible solutions that can be used for a large selection of workpieces. Since the JCCs are designed based on a vertical machining centre, they can be integrated easily into existing lines and require very little training before operation.

Our systems are based on a 4-axis CNC machining centre. The highly rigid axes (X, Y, Z, A) achieve traverse paths with high positioning accuracy. This permits the shortest possible cycle times with the best flexibility. Another advantage to positioning accuracy is good energy efficiency, since the application duration can be significantly reduced by a precise approach.

The automatic HP tool changer (turret) has space for up to six HP or brush deburring tools that are used for machining different contours or surfaces. The optimum tools can be used for each requirement this way. Custom-developed nozzles complement flexibility with availability of the contours to be machined, such as the L-nozzle/lance. Cycle times can be reduced by synchronous twin nozzles/lances. The patented horn nozzle is a special feature. It is combined with immersion/flood washing and permits effective cleaning even of hard-to-reach cavities with cavitation technology.

Simple CNC programming with G and M codes allows very quick conversion of the JCC for new products. Programme changes are easily possible without having to master complex program languages as well.

This standardised system has already proven its worth 2,000 times in industry. Many renowned automotive manufacturers and their suppliers around the world rely on our tried and tested Jet Clean Centers (JCC).

Procedure

  • In-line or as a standalone system, depending on the machine type
